Your invoice should represent your business when you are ready to upgrade.
A watermark on a client-facing invoice can make a business look less established and can distract from payment details.
The free plan and Starter plan can include a small platform footer on generated invoice PDFs, while Business removes that branding for cleaner client-facing documents.
Free and Starter invoice PDFs carry one small line of InvoDip text in the footer. It is not a diagonal watermark across the page and it does not obscure anything, but it is visible, and for some businesses that is the wrong impression to give a client.
The Business plan removes it. This page explains exactly what the footer is, when it matters, and what changes when it is gone, so you can decide whether it is worth the upgrade for your situation.
| Invoice line item | Description | Example amount |
|---|---|---|
| Brand identity package | Logo, colour system, and usage guidelines. | $2,400.00 |
| Stationery artwork | Print-ready letterhead and business card files. | $350.00 |
| Presentation template | Branded deck template for internal use. | $275.00 |
| Sales tax | Applied to services at the registered rate. | $302.50 |
| Deposit applied | 25% deposit received at project start. | -$600.00 |
The footer matters most when your invoice will be seen by people who were not part of the sale. A client's finance team, an auditor, or a main contractor passing your invoice up the chain will read the document without any context about your business.
It matters least when you are billing individuals you have already met. A homeowner paying for a repair is not evaluating your invoicing software.
If you are subcontracting to an agency that presents your work as their own, unbranded invoices are usually a contractual expectation rather than a preference.
Finance teams read hundreds of invoices and do register whose name is on the document.
Removing the platform footer achieves little if your own logo prints blurred.
Invoices that look different from your quotes and emails undercut the effect of unbranded PDFs.
If you bill individuals directly, the footer is rarely worth a plan change on its own.
